During my visit, the specialty coffees stood out as a highlight, each cup a delicious testament to the care and quality put into their craft. The food was equally delicious, perfectly complementing the beverages. Beyond its exceptional offerings and friendly staff, Tempest Coffee Shop truly shines as a productive workspace. I ordered a mango smoothie and the smoked salmon on an everything bagel. The barista was really nice and the owner Gail was so kind and helpful during ordering. The smoked salmon bagel was amazing. I will definitely be coming back for lunch. All the food leaving the kitchen looked great. The patio is inviting and overlooks the locks. The atmosphere is really great too.

Love the atmosphere at Tempest and location along the river. Coffee drinks all kind of taste the same to me regardless of the flavor ordered. But I really wish they’d bring back their precious bakery options - they used to have incredible homemade muffins and vegan donuts. Now all of the bakery items appear to be sourced through Manderfields or Thunderbird bakery. Definitely disappointed by this change.

First time visiting, and unfortunately it was a pretty disappointing experience. We were initially cut off mid-order because a previous customer paid with a $50 bill and claimed they were short-changed. We received our drinks fairly quickly, but they were gone by the time our food finally arrived. We ordered at 12:17 and didn’t receive our food until 12:57 — and only after we asked for water since our drinks were gone and checked on our order.
