Our first time at Cornerstone and we enjoyed ourselves. The wait staff was wonderful and attentive. The booth seating was comfortable and looked out the window. The decor was simple, clean and cozy. Our food came fairly quick and hot off the grill. I ordered peach brioche French toast. Mine came out a little undercooked, so I exchanged it for biscuits and gravy which was delicious. My husband have chicken fried steak, eggs, toast, and home fries. He thoroughly enjoyed it. There is indoor and outdoor seating. The menu offers so much. This place was absolutely AMAZING! We were visiting Asheville NC, and wanted to find a place to eat that wasn’t downtown and wasn’t overpriced. We ordered 2 appetizers, soup, salads, and 2 meals. The cheese curds were the largest amount we have EVER received going out to eat. They even had local hot sauce at the table that was so good! Great choice for our last morning in Asheville. No wait to be seated, Drew (hope I spelled it right) was an amazing waitress, very attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. I opted for the Matador with was grilled biscuits topped with chorizo, poached eggs covered in a savory, Smokey/spicy sauce and topped with avocado. Came to Asheville for a concert at the Orange Peel. Stopped on our way home for a late breakfast. The restaurant was extremely clean and wait staff very helpful. Our waitress was happy to explain questions about some menu items. I ordered country fried steak with gravy, scrambled eggs, grilled potatoes and toast. The portions were incredible and all tasted so delicious. We asked for jelly and got blackberry that was locally made it was the best I’ve ever eaten.
