Quaint brewery, tavern and biergarten in Grant Park: what it lacks in square feet it makes up for-- abundantly-- in high quality, highly distinct and rich flavor profiles of its predominantly lighter (in color) beers. The beauty of this place, nay-- the magic-- is the sheer number of typically cold lagered, bottom-fermenting beers: the menu (from 3/26) was almost entirely pilsners and lagers: who does that?! Who has the patience, skill and artifice to craft not one or two, but multiple variations of this godly golden nectar? HC. Ever wonder why most small craft breweries have 5 different IPAs

We celebrated my wife's 70th birthday at Halfway Crooks Beer. The party was a success, and the beer and other drinks spectacular. Both the venue and personnel were awesome. I would recommend this brewery without hesitation.

We got the hot chocolate, I was hoping it would be better but it tasted like watery Swiss Miss. Other people we were with got food and said it was okay. No one had a ringing endorsement of the food. The decor was very cute though.

Great experience here. Awesome food and a great beer. We came in close to closing the kitchen, and they were very accommodating. I had a very unique version of Putine. Highly recommended.
