Ok…Grandy’s was THE restaurant when me and hubs used to eat there in early 80’s for us young college folk ( wasn’t hubs yet)in 1983 and 1984… North Texas State University was what University of North Texas Denton used to be called—NOSTALGIA ALERT!! So Thank you Grandy’s for sticking around.. The young man at the DT window ( Hispanic) was OFF THE CHARTS 📈—Jovial, full of smiles and personable.. I was disgruntled by the outside appearance of my favorite “nos” restaurant ☹️ . The building is literally falling apart, unkept, and run down… The cinnamon rolls look to still have those raisins.

Most Grandy's locations have closed permanently. It's probably for good reason. I went to this franchise for the first time in 1991. The quality has gone downhill considerably. The employees are inattentive and not focused at taking orders correctly. The food quality has suffered dramatically as of late. I can't recommend anything at Grandy's anymore. I only try one every 6 months. It takes that long for me to forget the bad experience and try them again.

My husband & I stop to eat on a Saturday & it was not good. I got two wings, green beans & Mac & cheese. The wings were old, took one back, got another one, took it back & it was bad. They wanted me to wait until they cook some more. No can't do that. We want ever eat there again. They use to be good, but not anymore. There was only one other couple in there. So sad.
