Ive lived in the area for 7 years and drove by this place many times and never felt inspired to check it out based on its curb appeal. Inside its a standard mid-sized local sports bar that I get the sense has a loyal local following. To my surprise food was above average and staff was very very friendly. Full bar, but limited draft selection if your a beer snob this probably isnt your spot.

Happened to be in Watertown, googled nearby restaurants for lunch and Halfway cafe came up as a suggestion. It was only a mile away, so I decided to try it out. In business since 1964, it turned out to be a lively place with friendly staff and good food. I ordered a beer, which came with a small bowl of movie theater popcorn to much in while I waited for my grilled chicken sandwich. I enjoyed my yummy lunch while watching the French open on one of the large screen tv’s. A nice place to hang if you find yourself in Watertown.

I really enjoyed this neighborhood dive. Somehow I never made my way over here and now I wish I had gone sooner! With so few neighborhood bars in the area, I'm so glad that I not only found one, but a great one. It looks like there is. Trivia night on Tues which I will def check out! The atmosphere is bright and cheery despite a little sticky menu grime. While you wait they give you the most buttery salty movie theater popcorn to munch on. The food was very good. I recommend the surprisingly good clam strip roll and the burgers are juicy and delish. Gluten free rolls are available too. The ser
