This was the first restaurant we saw upon arriving at our hotel. A friend also told us about this place. We got here right at opening. We were seated immediately upon entering and our orders were taken. I got the red beans & rice and the shrimp and grits. My sister got the jambalaya and shrimp and grits. The jambalaya was decent. Excellent food & service! The half poboys & cajun cups were a perfect meal! We had the alligator andouille & the boudin poboys on french bread - hard to pick a favorite! The house sauce with the gator had amazing flavor! The red beans were seasoned perfectly, and we ordered the bread pudding to go - it was the best I've had! And the Community tea is always a good choice! We'll definitely be back!

As great as the personal recommendations sounded to come here, I have to say I left not very impressed overall. I stopped by and decided to try a few different things. The chicken and sausage gumbo was actually one of the better parts of the meal. It had a nice balance of spice and a rich flavor that tasted authentic.
