I love this coffee place. It is a little rough, payment in cash is required and prices are not cheap. But the coffee drinks are delicious, the staff very nice. And spending an hour there reading and writing on those industrial tables and benches is very enjoyable.

EAST WILLIAMSBURG, NY - The Swallow Cafe on Bogart Street it’s a local hangout and a morning stop for everyone who lives in the neighborhood to get their shot of caffeine and a place to relax, and everyone has a mellow and chill attitude. The staff, even though they may be stressed, are always polite. Their cold brews are quite nice. Their coffee is a hit-or-miss. Some have ordered a specialty coffee and said it tasted like regular coffee, without noticing the difference. However, any coffee served here will keep you energized without the jitters. I had a really negative experience at this coffee shop, and unfortunately it wasn’t just a one time thing. Every time I’ve gone in, the staff have been rude and dismissive toward me. They refused to give me the WiFi password unless I bought something, and when I asked politely about it, they acted like I was a problem. On top of that, I noticed the way they treated me was different from how they treated other customers, and it felt racially motivated.
