1369 is a smaller coffee shop and cafe located within Inman Square, with other locations spread throughout the Boston/Cambridge Area. The service was fast, friendly, and the service was busy but quick, as we got our order quite quickly. The breads were good, pretty standard and tasty bread. The matcha however left a lot to be desired. We got an oat milk matcha latte with maple syrup added in, and unfortunately this combo didn't seem to work. It was very sweet and watered down quickly with no matcha taste. We've heard good things about the other drinks, so we'd have to try the others first, b

I really cannot understand the hype of this place. It may be the most overrated coffee shop I’ve ever been to. I’ve been several times, thinking it MUST be a fluke. But no. The coffee isn’t good. The food isn’t good. The pastries aren’t good. The atmosphere is fine, at best. Everything is served in cheap plastic- even if you are dining in. And I’m just so bothered that people settle for this and think it’s good. of all the bad things going on in the world, at least we deserve a decent cafe.

One of my favorite homey cafes. It does get mobbed so don’t expect to snag a seat. The workers are friendly, and the drinks are great. They feature local artist’s work on the walls for sale. They clearly treat staff well and care about locals in a way other cafes do not. It feels like home, not a business extracting dollars from me.

You know the bagel sandwich is gonna be good when they use freshly scrambled eggs! Iced oat latte was great and they use high quality matcha (from MEM tea in davis sq). There's a reason this place has been around for decades.
