Pretty average spot, the hostesses we’ve had could’ve been more welcoming. If you’re looking for just a chill spot to eat out this is for you, but I wouldn’t celebrate any occasions here. Prices are pretty affordable and competitive with the area, and our servers have all been great. I’ve worked as a server at 3 different places and I’ll say that absolutely no one ever orders chips with their meal, so making chips the default side and upcharging everything else is what took off an extra star for me. Aside from that and the obviously annoyed hostess everything was great.

Great Ruben. Loved it. I was in carmel for my son's high-school graduation from Indiana ag an tech. Wife an I had time to kill while waiting on start time. We Came here an really enjoyed it. Amanda was a great server. We are from Columbus Indiana. So it will be a while before we can get back up.

Visited 3/18/23 When I walked into the restaurant, the first thing I noticed was how clean it was. The parking lot was packed, which gave me a good sign that the food was worth trying. While waiting for the hostess we noticed a compliment to the restaurant from a lady named Shelby at the register. (Pictured) We were seated quickly and greeted warmly by our server. As we looked over the menu, our waitress explained the bread was made fresh every day, with options ranging from white wheat to sourdough and rye. I was thrilled to hear this and ordered the uptown special - a breakfast sandwich

I came in curious, and I left IMPRESSED! This location was always so busy with the previous restaurant. They were often on a wait. I have no doubt that Uptown Cafe will be in that same spot soon! The menu choices were good with some traditional choices and some new options that were different. I had the Cajun Cranberry Salad and my friends had the Philly Steak with an order of breadsticks. The food came out quickly and was delicious!! The breadsticks were a surprise to me. They were perfectly prepared with a crisp outer crust and a soft tender inside. The salad I had was Amazing! The
