Stopped by Shake Shack with my partner for a quick lunch after visiting the Art Institute of Chicago, and it was just what we needed. I had the classic burger, which was juicy and flavorful, and my partner went with a plain double cheeseburger—simple, but still really good. The fries were crispy and tasty too. It was a bit crowded when we got there, but the line moved quickly, so we didn’t have to wait long. Overall, a solid spot for a quick, satisfying burger if you’re in the area.

The burgers are undercooked and the fries are overcooked. This was an extremely disappointing experience considering I did not eat lunch and could not eat the food I paid for. I don’t eat raw meat and do not expect to bite into a burger and see pink in the middle. I intentionally walked beyond my stop to grab an online order before getting on the train to go home. This is my second time with this issue at this location (the first time was in the summer of 2025), but it is not my experience at other Shake Shack locations. Save your time and money and eat elsewhere on Michigan Ave.
