It was a Friday, so the expectation of fast service was lacking — as was the details they didn't have staff checking on the tables. Great value on the drinks, didn't have their tots. Its effectively a dive bar in an upscale section of Denver, across from a park that's entrenched in homeless. But the crowd inside was great, young all inclusive, actually had meat market vibes but everyone was attached to the person they were with.

I’ve been to Horseshoe Lounge three times. My first two visits were enjoyable, which is why this experience was so disappointing. During my most recent visit, the bartender who was working when we arrived was rude and dismissive from the start. My friend and I were polite, but when I asked a few simple questions, her responses felt unnecessarily curt and unwelcoming. The overall impression was that she had already decided she didn’t like us before we had even interacted. What made it even stranger was seeing her later taking a shot with a group of customers and telling them it was “on her,”

I had the most amazing experience here tonight - I cannot rave about this place enough!! My wife and I just moved to the neighborhood and Gretchen made us feel so welcome… so much so that we’re debating never leaving this area! The music, the vibe, the company makes this the best bar in uptown.

I frequent The Horseshoe Lounge. It’s such an awesome spot to mingle. STRONG drinks. Rae and Johnathan, you’re the best!! The 3pm - 7pm happy hour simply can’t be beat. Especially on Mondays. The Pizza and Truffle & Piggy Tots are on point too. To the bartender I've seen working Wednesday and Saturday…screaming “ID’s!!!! Let’s see em!!” The very second you walk through the door is extremely unwelcoming. Doesn’t deter me though because I love The Shoe.
