M sushi is very good. I had the Grand Omakase and the seared scallop, the black cod and the Wagyu beef were excellent. I really enjoyed the mackerel nigiri as well.atmosphere is a bit loud with many people ordering a “choose your own adventure” Sushi/ Maki dinner which makes for a very busy atmosphere. I’ll definitely come back. Oh, and the Matcha Basque Cheesecake is delicious.

I do not take the best photos but these were worth a 1k words easily. Best meal sub $150 per person with tip we have had in a really long time. 2nd or 3rd time we have been here and we will definitely be back. The cost was high because we splurged on A5 wagyu ($70) which was a generous portion BTW. $60 for the bento box or 75$ for the Nagiri tasting is a great value. Treat yourself, or someone else, you(se) will not be disappointed.

We mentioned that we had just gotten married, and the staff went above and beyond to make us feel special with complimentary items and such thoughtful, genuine hospitality. M Sushi has always been my favorite sushi spot in Durham, and this visit reminded me why. The fish is consistently fresh, the flavors are incredible, and the quality is unmatched.
