I stopped by Manjay Restaurant while visiting The Citadel, and it was great. The conch fritters were fantastic—crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and packed with conch. The jerk wings were impressive, with just the right balance of smoky, spicy, and savory flavors that reminded me of classic Jamaican jerk. You can tell a lot of care goes into the seasoning and preparation, just looking in the samll kitchen they're working in. What really got me was the Champagne Cola soda it instantly brought back memories of growing up in Brooklyn and enjoying Jamaican beef patties and other foods

My dinner here was amazing. Everything on the menu sounded amazing but I decided on the wings and jerk chicken platter. Everything was delicious! Portion sizes are massive, you can share your food with 2 or 3 people. Service was great and The Citadel is the perfect backdrop for this culinary delight.

Finding my cultures food styled this way, the nuance and the vibes, definitely a must try! If you only like Haitian food super authentic you may not appreciate some of the options like the legume is on the sweeter side and the pikliz is not spicy but the flavors and seasoning especially on the meat are still on point.
