I finally tried Matt’s Twisted Firebird sandwich at The Daily Grind and WOW. It was SO good I’ve literally been dreaming about it since. The flavor combo was perfect, packed with just the right amount of heat, and every bite was amazing. Easily one of the best sandwiches I’ve ever had. And the cinnamon rolls? Absolutely delicious too. Already counting down until I can go back for more!

We waited and waited to place our order at the counter. I finally had to step in the back to get someone's attention. Fortunately, she was apologetic instead of getting annoyed. The atmosphere was very pleasant and comfortable. There was plenty of seating, although we arrived shortly before closing time. So I can't say whether or not it would have been more crowded a little earlier in the day. Prices were a bit higher than I would have liked to pay. Usually with places like this you'd be lucky if it ticks 2 out of 4 boxes, but the Daily Grind has great coffee, good food (especially the soup), wonderful service, and a very comfortable and pleasant atmosphere. Everyone in our group was very happy with their order, which is also impressive for a menu of that size. If I lived in Evansville, I'd go every day!

DoorDash order ********* GRITS WERE TGE WORSE I EVER HAD! I got the breakfast burrito with angus steak & egg with cheese grits and an apple juice. Wraps could have been toasted (no option) quantity was small for price. Comes with 2 small burritos. The flavor was good and the egg was cooked to perfection. The cheese grits were salty and could have been more in the small cup. Apple juice did the job. I would go back when downtown to see the real menu and interact with staff. Didn’t rate atmosphere because I door dashed.
