If you’re looking for a quiet dinner spot with a no-frills good hearty meal, this is the place. That’s exactly what we were in the mood for as we were passing through and it did not disappoint. My only complaint was the abrupt change of server. The guy we started with was friendly and helpful and the lady that took over for him was just kind of like, “there’s your food,” and that was about it. No explanation for the change-up or anything. Someone in our group suggested Black Angus. We arrived, and we’re seated right away. Not bad for a Friday night. We had 8 people in our party, but they could not seat us all together. So we sat in two separate booths close by, which was not ideal, but fine. I could tell right out of the gate our experience was not going to be the best when our waitress, Rebecca, seemed put off that we still were waiting on a couple of people to show up from our party - they were less than 10 minutes behind us. We visited Black Angus Steakhouse in Federal Way to celebrate the New Year with our grandson Matt and granddaughter Eliza. Even though I had not been here in over 10 years, we were seated right away and quickly greeted by our server, Randy. It immediately felt like coming back to a familiar favorite. We dined at Black Angus on 10/04/2025 around 6 p.m. and were seated at table 63. From start to finish, our experience was absolutely wonderful. The food was incredibly delicious—perfectly prepared and full of flavor—and our server provided exceptional service throughout the evening. Unfortunately, I didn’t catch his name, but his attentiveness and friendly demeanor truly stood out. I also couldn’t help but notice that the entire team worked seamlessly together; every server we observed was equally professional, efficient, and welcoming.
