The owner is so sweet and welcoming. I went for take out Thursday and tried the combo plate and a spam musubi. The meats are all flavorful and tender and the plate was very filling, went for lunch and had enough for dinner too. The next morning i went back for breakfast and got the loco moco which was large and filling and so so good! I didn't know how big it was going to be so i got a side of lumpia and it was so good i ate it too. They also have delicious rich dark coffee. I ate there that time and the atmosphere was beautiful and fun. There's still more on the menu i want to try so I'll be going back with my husband soon.

Wow!! This place is stellar. From the food to the service, everything was perfect. We love how they give you a small taste of their meat selection to help make your decision easier. We loved everything we ordered. Rib tips, Mahi Mahi, Tiki Chicken and the pineapple upside down cake. The bartender was so friendly. We will definitely be back. ❤️

On a road trip, we found ourselves in Tacoma. I found Da Tiki Hut on a local curated list using a simple Google search. I was first drawn in with the tiki drinks, but everything was SO good! I am sad that there isn’t a quality match in my region of the country. It was hard to narrow down my protein choices, but the sampler of meats did help. I opted for a small plate of Korean chicken while my husband ordered the combo plate. We also ordered a spam musabi & a katsu musabi. The katsu was really something special! For drinks we chose The Grog and Blue Hawaii. The drinks were a little pricier than what I typically splurge on, but it was vacation & I enjoyed supporting a small local business!

Ok so walking in I thought it was strictly a to go place. The menu was plentiful and had many things I would love to eat. Then we walked through this wood door and all the sudden there’s a sit down dining room and a cool looking Hawaiian waterfall display as you walk in. It’s dark inside so if you’re older you’re gonna need that flashlight on your phone to read the menu. Minor stuff. They bring you a sample of 3 meats as you sit down if it is your first time visiting. Korean chicken, kalua pork and I forgot the other chicken but it’s like teriyaki chicken. IMO the Korean chicken has the most flavor. Then the kalua pork just melts in your mouth. Takes me bale to the islands..those flavors. Ok so we ordered lumpia’s and a kalua pork masubi. Both were delicious. Lumpia’s were short but fat and super hot out of the fryer! The masubi was big and I really liked it! Such a unique and personal experience. All of the staff was so cheerful and attentive. We were offered samples of the meat choices so that we would have exactly the flavor palette that we wanted and were brought out samples of the chef's newest creations for our thoughts as well. The ambiance made me forget that I was in Tacoma on a sunny spring evening, which was PERFECTLY what I wanted. Let us not forget THE FOOD 🤌🏻🤙🏻 so much flavor, so tender and juicy with stellar proportions that reflected the pricing. I hate feeling like I wasted money because I left hungry or the food was sub par or the service was dismal but that was not the case with Da Tiki Hut. Truly a Tacoma gem!
