We've lived in FtW for years and not visited Walloon's until this very (Saturday) evening. We absolutely loved everything about this restaurant. The drinks. The service. The atmosphere. And of course the food! It's a perfect spot, too, for a date with your partner. There was a buzz tonight. Many peeps attending the FtW Stock Show & Rodeo were having dinner. Our server was also attentive, kind, and boxed up the leftovers. We forgot her name, but she was skinny, a little short, and had black hair. We started with two cocktails from the Limited Time Only menu: the spicy marg and the TX Whiskey

Not quite the atmosphere we expected or were seeking for a romantic date night. Think noisy retro diner versus classy noir vibes. We made our reservation at a low traffic time (5:00pm Saturday) but still got seated at a tiny table we barely fit into in a terrible location up again a booth full of noisy children. (Plenty of free larger tables all over the restaurant.) Maybe we should have checked “special occasion” on the reservation to automatically get good seating at a nice booth.
