I haven't been to Cameron's in a while and I won't be going back. I ordered the crab cake platter plus hush puppies for my Easter dinner. The fries and hush puppies were fantastic. The crab cakes were not. They were overly fried. They were moist inside but hardly any crab. I think it was claw meat. All filler. And they didn't taste the greatest either. And on top of that there was somehow a 20% tip added to my order. I Don't tip for pickup.

I've visited this location once before and had no issues but today I go in and ordered 1dz of large/medium male crabs and a half dz of small males. When I was paying I asked the guy if they had tap payment. The machine was one the tip screen. Before I could insert my card, the man reached over the register and tapped the 10% gratuity button. I called it to his attention and he flat out denied it and stated "Mam, I never do that to customers! I asked him to cancel the sale and ring it up again. WELL WHAT DO YOU KNOW!!! my total was miraculously $7.00 cheaper. I didn't sweat it and moved along.

So I got catfish nuggets I got shrimp cocktail I got coconut shrimp I got sea scallops and I got some hush puppies along with a crab cake. Everything is pretty much spot on. Except that catfish nuggets were overcooked on some and undercooked for the other I don't know if they stuck together or what. But I didn't until a half raw piece of catfish kind of turns off your appetite for most. So I probably won't get that again. Good taste and breading when cook correctly. Ordered a catfish platter was given what looked fairly crunchy and cooked on the outside but when I started to eat it the meat is pink and purple looking, when I said something to the staff they told me it's normal... Ive eaten a lot of catfish in my life and never seen it look like this. I couldn't even finish my food... Lost my appetite 🤢 disappointed cause I use to eat Cameron's often havent been in more than a year and this is what I get for coming back yuck!
