The Hillsborough Star Diner is a fantastic place to go if you were looking for classic delicious diner food at affordable prices. Fantastic service and great atmosphere with the lovely booths and the old school jukeboxes. Could not recommend this more five stars.

This is an official old school jersey diner. Very old school ambiance, pretty clean too. Nice staff with friendly service. The food wasn't bad. Nothing super special. The cheese steak was pretty basic, the onion soup was very salty. But the bacon, eggs and home fries were pretty good. The salad didn’t move me either. But nonetheless I'm not mad about my visit here and would return again. If I could, I'd give them a 3.5, because again the service was very good!!

The pastrami sandwich is a sad excuse for a sandwich, especially coming from a diner. Maybe 2 slices of pastrami. Definitely different from their photo on the menu. I’ve been going here for years with no issue and enjoyed the typical diner food. This though, this is really really sad.

I visited Hillsborough Star Diner today with my three kids. We were seated quickly, which I appreciated, especially since they were busy. Unfortunately, that was where the positive experience ended. No one offered a high chair for my 11-month-old, and after ordering our drinks, we waited about 10–15 minutes before anyone came back to our table. We were there for nearly 30 minutes in total. Our waitress returned twice, and each time we were told she would be back, but we still never received our drinks or a high chair. Eventually, we got up and left.
