On a recent trip to the Big Island Hawai’i, my wife and I stopped in to Big Island Top Dog for an early lunch. My wife had a Bacon your day Dog and I had the Adobo Dog (Portuguese sausage) with a side of mac salad. I had planed on eating only half my dog and saving the rest for later, but I had chowed the whole thing down before I realized it! Both dogs were delicious with ample toppings and condiments! We were also fortunate enough to spend some time talking with the owner, Mike. He let us know that his Portuguese sausage was locally sourced there on the island. Mike is a super friendly guy

Highly recommend! We had the Chilli Cheese Dog and Bacon Your Day Dog with "Preggo Fries" for a side. The food was great and we got to try some fresh brownies that were amazing!

My wife and I have been eating at Big Island Top Dogs for seven years. We love Bug Island Top Dogs so much ch, it is our favorite place to go for Hamburgers and fries on the whole island. The burgers are huge, so, so good, everything is fresh. Always made fresh just for you. The prices are so fair, if you have not eaten here,please give them a chance. If you are a tourist, please go, you will be very satisfied. I accidentally came across this great local hot dog spot! I love a good chili dog and I’m always on the lookout for the best spots to try out. Needless to say, I’ve tried a few decent Hot Dog spots both in Hilo & Kona. But so far this is the only stop that made me stop and actually give a review! Food was hot & fresh! The fries were great too. They also serve Fish n’ Chips (which I wanna try next time) and various other sandwich goodies! Definitely recommend this place! It’s mostly takeout but they have a couple of tables and bench seating to eat or sit while waiting on your food. 🤙🏽🕺🏽🎉🤗
