Place is counter order so you have to go up and place your order which I think some reviews had a hard time understanding. The lady at the front we had was very welcoming and nice. The foot was well priced and tasted great. Got the sampler to split between two people which was great and got a banana pudding to go which was easily the best banana pudding I’ve had.

I’ve lived away from Bham for almost two years now, and the lack of acceptable BBQ up North haunts me on a daily basis. Saw’s BBQ lives in my mind rent free. I particularly love their Homewood location for the outdoor patio seating & good vibes. I cannot express how incredible their food is and I find myself wishing I could teleport back on a summer evening to enjoy some of their smoked chicken and sweet tea. This place had a great atmosphere, but I found the food to be so-so overall. The chicken was excellent, well flavored and cooked. We also got the ribs and the pulled pork, both of which were somewhat tough and dry. The flavoring was good though. The banana pudding was creamy and delicious.

Came from out of state. The first thing I did was look at reviews and ask locals about good bbq. After making the decision to eat at Saw's, I had my next challenge of which one. With different menus, it was hard to choose, but the ribs were the deciding factor for me, so we went to Homewood and boy were they worth it! My family sampled the ribs (great - fall off the bone), pulled pork (great - moist/not dry), chicken (great - loved the white sauce), beans (good), potato salad (great), deviled eggs (ok), Mac n cheese (good) & greens (ok).
