We stumbled into Abu Omar during a late-night Houston layover, completely lost and trying to figure out how to get back to Canada. Best wrong turn we’ve made in a long time. The food was incredible. The fries were unreal, the meat was packed with flavor, and the portions were absolutely ridiculous. As they say, everything is bigger in Texas—and apparently that includes the wraps, the platters, and my expectations for late-night food. The staff were awesome too. One of the guys even charged Brittany’s phone while we ate, which may have been the only reason we will find our way back to the air

First time in this part of Houston and found it after reading reviews. It is outstanding food at very reasonable price and it was enough for two if not extremely hungry. We ordered platters that came with fries and pickled vegetables. It was freshly prepared and was yummy. Unfortunately they have only two tables outside so best for take out. Chef was friendly and very interesting person. Menu is limited which means everything they make is the best of their menu and they have perfected it.

Service was friendly and fast. The food was good and while the beef was good, preferred the chicken wrap. I'd skip the hummus next time as wasn't real flavorful.
