As a Level 7 Google Local Guide, I try to leave honest and fair reviews. We stopped by Mid City to give it a try. The restaurant smelled great, the atmosphere was nice, and we were seated quickly. We received our sweet teas, but then waited about 25–30 minutes without anyone coming back to take our order. It wasn't even very busy, so we eventually decided to leave. We ended up going to Label instead and had an excellent meal. I'm not writing Mid City off, though. Everyone can have an off day, and I'd like to give the staff another chance. New favorite place in JC!!! We saw this place and decided to venture in for lunch- best spur-of-the-moment decision ever 😎. The walls are covered in posters & memorabilia from everything 70s & 80s- two of the best decades ever 🙂. I’ve loved Mid City Grill for years, and it’s still one of those places that just keeps the good vibes coming. Some things change over time, but this spot continues to get it right where it counts—great food, great atmosphere, and consistently great service.
