I’ve had almost everything on the menu so you can trust when I say the food is amazing. My usual order is the kitfo special. I prefer the raw preparation; it is rich, spicy and always fresh ground (which makes a huge difference in texture and quality). Tried this Ethiopian restaurant for the first time and it did not disappoint!! We’ve had Ethiopian food from a few other spots before, but this one was spot on. You won't find an Eritrean or Ethiopian restaurant in Maryland, DC or Virginia better than Elilta! Elilta is by far the best in every sense of the word. The food is outstanding and very delicious, the atmosphere is warm and wonderful, and the owners are the sweetest and nicest. After your meal, relax with their traditional coffee--it's the best way to end a meal-or go just for the coffee--it's that good. This is a place where you can truly relax and enjoy a meal, and coffee as well. The owners are the best!! Their food is incredible :)
