Great prices. 16 dollars for a whole cornish hen that's expertly prepared is well worth it. The food is bland in comparison to other Uzbeck restaurants in the neighborhood. The lagman soup can use more seasoning. Their red sauce is bland. No fenegreek. Other spices that make a red sauce are missing. The Samsa and the mantis are good. They're standard when it comes to restaurant because they seem to be outsourced from other places. I'd go back because the prices are good for an easy meal in this neighborhood.

Absolutely one of the worst Uzbek/Arabic food experiences I've ever had. The rice was thick, undercooked, and absolutely drenched in oil. Every bite felt heavy and greasy rather than flavorful. The meat presentation is misleading as well—the pieces look large at first glance, but they're cut into such tiny portions that you end up with far less meat than expected. We ordered food for four people and spent around $80–$85, yet the amount of food was so small that it could barely satisfy two people. The portions are shockingly poor for the price. Fantastic food! Meat galore.. affordable. Friendly servers, best way to place order to the servers is by showing them pictures of the dish from their menu due to limited English. Been here several times, food tasted fresh and place is kept clean.

Grabbed lunch at Dastarxan Kafe in Kensington, Brooklyn NYC. Uzbeki cuisine. No frills but fantastic food. Compote, lagman and Uzbeki plov. Prices are inexpensive. Don't expect great ambiance or table service. Had leftovers.
