I really liked this place! The food was fresh and full of flavor. Carne asada quesadillas were DELICIOUS , and the salsa had the perfect amount of spice. The staff was super friendly, and the service was pretty efficient. The portions were really good for the price, and everything tasted homemade. I would definitely come back and recommend it to anyone looking for good Mexican food. The burgers are really good even though it’s a Mexican Restaurant.

In the past, I’ve ordered camarones al mojo de ajo and it came with beans and tortillas. Now the $30 CAMDA plate comes with 5 shrimp with the poop veins still very much intact, canned corn, wilted lettuce and rice. Super glad I wasn’t the one paying because I’d feel victimized and violated paying $30 for whatever you want to call this. Also theres a guy who yells loudly while playing guitar the whole time you eat. Some may find it quaint, i found it painful

Good yet typical Mexican food restaurant, and the food is fine but expensive. Many of the menu items are $20, like the chicken mole plate. Chips and salsa that are refilled, and good yet again, typical and not any better than would be expected. Nice if you’re looking for a traditional dining experience.

A tried and true Mexican food Restaurant in La Mesa. The ambiance/decor, service and authentic Mexican food is why I keep going back. I know it will not disappoint. I always bring out-of-town visitors to enjoy great food.
