It’s a bummer when a local spot with so much potential chooses a side. I love live music and supporting our community's economy, and Jerry’s Bait Shop could be a great hangout. However, the blatant political pandering with the Trump decor is just too much. I’d love to support them, but I can’t spend my money in an establishment that feels more like a political rally than a neighborhood pub. 🎶🍻

Went to see some live music and really enjoyed it. Bar tenders were hustling and got me what I needed. It's a small place, so if you want a seat you'll need to get there at least 30 minutes before a band goes on. It was weird to see most TVs tuned to Fox News in a bar with so much sports memorabilia. They're missing some opportunities there.

My dad used to tell me the 11-minute-long story of how he met my mom (they divorced) and how he grew up right across from Jerry’s Bait Shop. Every time he brought it up he said “You know the place” which I thought was pretty weird given the fact that I did not know the place. Anyways, the sizzler where dad works just recently gave him a big raise after he put out a grease fire with his face (for the second time) and took me and my brother to visit my grandma in Kansas City. Love this dive bar. Opens at 11 on Saturday and the bartender is the best. Ari has a beer ready for you just as soon as you’re ready for another. Pizza and Bones (IYKYK) are amazing.
