A friend told me about Bavel 4+ years ago, and ever since then, I’ve continued to hear people rave about it. My boyfriend and I finally decided to see what all the hype was about, and somehow it still exceeded expectations. We made our reservation a month in advance and visited on a Sunday at 5 PM. We arrived a little early, so they seated us at the bar, which ended up being perfect. The bartender was incredibly knowledgeable and attentive. The space is cool, with lush greenery throughout and a large outdoor patio. By 6 PM, the restaurant was packed, so reservations are definitely recommended.

Came to Bavel in the Arts District on a Thursday night with four of my cousins to celebrate a birthday and graduation. It was our first time trying Bavel's Middle Eastern cuisine, and while the food was outstanding, the service was a mixed bag. First off, reservations are definitely recommended. Had a reservation for Bavel since I've heard great things about it. We parked nearby on the hill to the bridge (FREE), could get a bit tricky but close enough to Bavel. Among arriving, we were immediately seated and had the choice of outdoors or indoors. Outdoors is a bit more for decorations and quieter ambiance vibes, while indoors is more aesthetically pleasing, louder, and has an open kitchen style. This is my honest experience, and it’s not just about “personal taste.” I went to Bavel in Los Angeles with my husband because so many people recommended it, so my expectations were honestly pretty high. But the meal ended up being so upsetting that I almost cried at the restaurant, and I felt nauseous even after getting back to the hotel. First, the overall charges already left a bad impression.
