Jenny Dao★★★★★A lovely Saturday evening dinner at Oomasa. The plaza was busy. The restaurant is first come first serve. Luckily a big booth was available and we were seated right away. The menu has a good variety of choices. The sushi, sashimi, and shrimp tempura was fresh and hot, cook to order. Steamy hot, crispy fresh, and melts in your mouth- a must order item! Our server was very nice and attentive. We had fun watching the sushi chefs, enjoying the ambiance, each other’s company, and the fresh, delicious fish and seafood. The restaurant will validate two hours of free plaza parking. Thereafter is $4 pe
Richard H★★★★★Located in busy Tokyo Village, Los Angeles. This is a great traditional Japanese restaurant, featuring fresh cuts of sashimi and sushi. Wonderful assortment of teishoku menu items, such as the combination tempura and sashimi for $23.50. I highly recommend their chirashi sushi/. Fresh cuts of sashimi over sushi rice with tamago. The nabeyaki udon was also delicious.
LG O★★★★We had not much of a wait at dinner time. The broth is very very good for their soups. In traditional fashion the meat portion is tasty but small. They were nice and hospitable.the soft shell crab was very good. The pricing was a bit up there for what we think we got.
Paul S★★★★Great place if you like sushi. The sushi is really fresh. The toro melts in your mouth. The Bento box was average, the potatoes were a weird addition to the bento box and the tonkatsu was okay. The place is a little small so it may be hard to get setting as well, but went a little after peak lunch time and got a table no problem. I thought this place may be noisy with its location, but was pleasantly surprised as it was pretty quiet inside and easy to have a conversation.
