Oak & Rye is right on Santa Cruz Avenue in downtown Los Gatos, and reservations are highly recommended. We went on a chilly December evening. They have both indoor and outdoor seating. The heat lamps work well enough to be comfortable. Inside, there is a mix of regular and bar height tables, which gives it a lively feel. The arugula was a highlight, especially if you like whole anchovies. The tomato soup was a bit acidic, but the garlic bread with it was excellent. My first impression off the bat wasn’t the greatest the wait time was over an hour and a half for a walk in (Make sure to do a reservation)….. BUT the service that was provided by Zoe and Keegan was absolutely exceptional!!! I would definitely recommend this place more due to the service they both had given our table! I’ve never experienced anything like this before! They both ensured to go above and beyond to make sure everyone was happy and satisfied with everything! This place lives up to the hype! The Scottie 2 Hottie pizza was delicious (hot honey pizza), Brussels sprout salad was divine and the gnocchi was delectable!! Plus everyone working here was so sweet and kind, the hostess went out of her way to help us and our server gave the best recommendations. Can’t wait to come back and show our friends this spot!
