Massive scoops of ice cream, jumbo frozen fruit with a generous layer of their perfectly rich and creamy chocolate, candy selection for days and a chocolate case that would make Willy Wonka drool, all hand-made, reasonably priced, and served by great staff!!! Please don't sell or change a thing. You've been my favorite for decades and I live over 700 miles away. If I could bottle up a smell and add it to this review, Riverside Chocolate Factory would get a million stars just for that alone. Step inside, and you’re instantly transported to chocolate paradise. Every inch of the store is packed with confections, many of them handmade and crafted right on site. And let me tell you: they do not hold back on the caramel or the chocolate. Everything is dipped, coated, and layered to perfection. Pure indulgence. They have an amazing selection of gift options for just about every occasion and holiday. Cute little building with a little garden and place to sit and eat your ice cream and treats. Found some hard to find violet candies that I just love. Prices are a little high on some items. For instance, it was about $4 for a box of Gobstoppers that we usually find at the dollar and discount stores. Other than that, people were friendly and helpful and the store was well kept.

I go here frequently for special occasion candy--it's not cheap, but it's usually very good. The Mother's Day box I bought my mom 3 days before Mother's Day, however, had several "cremes" (a creme assortment) that were rock-hard for some reason. All the vanilla ones, and one lemon one, had this issue. I called the store and they apologized and offered to replace them, but I declined since Mom had already eaten them. However, when your place is run by teenagers, sometimes the quality control can get a little off. I hope in the future they double-check the stuff before they box it up!
