Love this spot! If you’re looking for Yunnan Chinese food, definitely check this place out. I came here with my family on a weekday during lunch because it’s less crowded. Highly recommend ordering the truffle mushroom rice, braised noodle soup and sea-bass wrapped in lotus leaves. Each dish is so unique and you can’t find them anywhere else in the bay. Also love the ambience!

Tried Jun Bistro with friends and it’s a great spot for anyone who enjoys bold, spicy Hunan cuisine. The menu has a lot of variety, including unique dishes you don’t commonly see, like Chinese donut with liver pâté, stinky tofu, and a Chinese-style taco with eggplant (a great vegetarian option). My favorite dish was the mushroom truffle rice — they use shiitake mushrooms and give a very generous portion. The flavor was rich and satisfying, especially if you love mushrooms. Their Yunnan-inspired California bistro concept really stands out, especially with how mushrooms are incorporated throughout the menu in such creative ways We tried the SoyMilk Coffee Latte, Yunnan Rose Coffee Latte, Mushrooms & Daisy Leaf Salad, Banana Leaf Wrapped Seabass, Steamed Stinky Tofu, Laksa Shrimp Fried Rice, and the Blue Penguin Bao with taro paste — and honestly everything was flavorful, fresh, and memorable.
