I stopped by Slim Chickens yesterday after seeing their Boneless Haul deal — 20 boneless pieces for about twelve bucks, and since I’d never been before, I figured it was the perfect time to try it out. The food ended up being way better than I expected. The chicken was fresh, juicy, and had good flavor on its own. Their sauces tasted homemade, not like the generic bottled stuff. I tried the mango habanero, which had a mild heat and good flavor, and the sweet red chili, which was the more flavorful one overall. It's Slim's, got great chicken, favorite chicken joint, lots of options and sides, fried mushrooms/pickles, toast, and chicken type meals, been to many locations, still great, nice restrooms, very friendly staff, as usual it's very respectful of customer privacy, so only a couple inside shots, Place has tons of seat options, normal and booths, outdoor patio, handicap parking, You can do food pickup and have it set at a specific time to get made, and est when it's done. Well Well, where do we start. The drive thru order person seemed distracted and acted like they couldn’t hear us. We waited in line for 15+ mins for 3 strips with fries and a side of potato salad. Potato salad was more like potato mash with some interesting additions like cheese and bacon- not my thing! Texture, temp or taste and was almost 4$ for just the side of Potato Salad. Strips were hot but kinda dry. Fries were kinda good. Again the person at the window was friendly once we got to the window. Any of the other 5 big chicken folks are better than this one.

I love this place, go here on average once a week. Quick place to grab a bite, especially when the gentleman with a goatee and ponytail is on duty. He's very pleasant and very fast. He's always doing something - taking orders, delivering orders and / or clearing tables. I'd avoid going on Fridays - the 2 ladies that worked there when he's not there would rather look at their phones than take orders. And I was not at the drive through; actually standing there at the counter. Food is decent, price is okay for today's standards. Overall atmosphere is pretty relaxing.
