Amy Quinn★★★★★Dining at Emeril’s was an unforgettable experience and absolutely lived up to its reputation. Every course was beautifully presented, thoughtfully composed, and full of bold Louisiana flavors with a refined, modern touch. The attention to detail was evident from the first bite to the last. The service was impeccable—warm, knowledgeable, and perfectly timed without ever feeling rushed. The staff made us feel genuinely welcome and were happy to explain each dish and offer excellent recommendations. The atmosphere struck the perfect balance between elegant and comfortable, making the evening feel both special and relaxed. Every aspect of the experience reflected the level of care and craftsmanship you’d expect from a world-class restaurant.
John Beaulieu★★★★★As a long-time New Orleans resident and food scientist by training, I've heard about and known of Emeril's incredible reputation. We enjoyed 34 and were sad it closed. After Michelin awarded his signature restaurant 2 stars, I knew we had to go. Finally we arrived! I did not look at the website nor menu prior to my partner's booking. Upon opening the front door, everything about the staff, decor, ambience, music selection and seating was fabulous. The kitchen tour and explanation of our meal and pairings, then exquisite food and service were absolutely 100% top notch. I watch a lot of Gordon Ramsay and cooking tv shows, and virtually every offering, all night, from surprise appetizers to the 6-courses and special deserts would have likely won all competitions. Simply, this was one of the best restaurants I have ever experienced, alongside some French and Belgian establishments. Attention to visual details (color combinations, microgreens, fresh herbs, delicate edible micro-flowers, and
Lisa Arguelles-Barbato★★★★★Some how they managed to make a very posh dining experience feel very relaxed and unpretentious. Very New Orleans. The food was very thoughtful and delicious. And unlike other prefix dinners I've had, you leave satiated. Service was great, loved our waiter. It's not for the wallet weary, but worth every dollar.
Paula Phan★★★★★Wow, what an unbelievable experience. E.J. and the staff earned 2 Michelin stars and it most certainly shows. I absolutely LOVED the fact that it showcased a lot of NOLA cuisine. We got to sit right in front of the kitchen and it was like experiencing a dinner and a show. You can immediately see the passion in the restaurant. Everyone seems to be working in a dedicated but also fun environment. For 2 stars, never once did I feel like it was a stuffy experience. I’m so glad we made sure to dine here because it was worth every penny.
Andrew Dunckelman★★★★Dinner at Emeril’s was, on balance, a very good experience and an exciting evolution of New Orleans fine dining. The dining room is beautiful and I am glad to see classic New Orleans flavors presented with this level of precision. Several of the small bites were especially good. Tiny versions of local dishes like barbecued shrimp and gumbo managed were playful and delicious. The trout amandine, a nod to the original Emeril’s, was excellent, and a quail dish with seasonal vegetables was one of the strongest plates. The snowball interlude was another fun highlight. That said, for a restaurant operating at the two Michelin star level and charging nearly $1,000 for dinner and drinks for two, the service did not feel polished enough to match the food. The disconnect started upon arrival, when we were motioned toward the bar to wait despite there being no available seating. We stood awkwardly for several minutes and were never offered drinks. Later, when the cheese cart arrived, there was
Scott Sulik★★★★★An incredible experience from start to finish. The revamped dining room and tasting menu is an absolute masterpiece, and the brand new 2* designation is highly deserved. The service was attentive but well-paced throughout the evening. The cost for the menu may seem steep at first, but there were plenty of extras thrown in from the start and at the end; we came hungry but were both extremely full by the end and could no finish dessert. Congratulations to E.J. on an incredible vision that is perfectly executed. We can’t wait to be back.
LC Travel★★★★★An unforgettable experience from the moment you walk in. Gloved service, incredible attention to detail from the specific cutlery for each course, dished specifically designed for each course, great ambiance, never noticed my water glass being filled but it was always FULL, complimentary champagne as we were sat, a tour of the kitchen (who wished us happy birthday!) Then the food. There were a half dozen listed courses an easily another half dozen not on the menu. Small bites, sweet cornbread with French butter, sushi. The add-ons were pricy but so good (wagyu, crawfish with sweetbread). I wouldn’t even know how to rank the parts of the meal. Absolutely incredible. Will be back and request a table facing the kitchen
Gino Gisondo★★★★★This is the experience you want for a set tasting menu. The dining room is unique, beautiful, and comfortable. The courses were extremely well paced. Other tasting menus can feel like a drag, but this 3+ hour experience did not feel that way. I think that partially has to do with the fish bowl kitchen that lets you see all the cooking and plating between courses. Every dish was excellent. I think almondine fish is now ruined for me. Their trout almondine was so good that I probably won't order that style of fish anywhere else. The Miyazaki waygu was insanely good. The staff was really great--kind, attentive, helpful, and seemed to think very highly of everyone involved in the evening. It is very difficult to get a reservation and it is extremely pricey, but it's worth the time and money for a special occasion.
