We had a very enjoyable breakfast at IHOP during our visit to Niagara Falls. The restaurant is located on the third floor, and getting there through the arcade area was a bit unique and fun. Once we arrived, there were plenty of available tables, and we were seated right away without any waiting. The service was one of the highlights of our visit. This location does have gluten-free pancakes — yay! The entire menu was definitely pricier than usual (around $21.50 CAD), but it’s right in the middle of the tourist area, so it is what it is. The pancakes were really good, and I was happy to have a solid gluten-free option available. I’m giving 4 stars instead of 5 because the restaurant could have been a bit cleaner. To be fair, it was very busy and we came a few hours into service, so I do understand. Our table could have used a more thorough wipe-down. At the end of the day this is an IHOP — let’s level-set expectations a little lol.

We visited IHOP after nearly four years because we had such a positive experience during our last visit, with great food and excellent service. Unfortunately, this time was very disappointing. Our server seemed visibly unhappy when we chose to order only food and no beverages. He repeatedly asked, “Are you sure you don’t want any drinks? I don’t like to see an empty table,” which made us feel uncomfortable. When we asked for water, he responded, “Yeah, I could get you water, definitely water,” in a tone and with expressions that made us feel unwelcome. Throughout the meal, he did not return

Very bad experience. Went with a group of 7 and none of us were happy with either food or the service. Ordered a bunch of breakfast items but none of them were good. The meat was dry, the eggs were okay, The Hollandaise was straight from a dollar store, The avocado toast looked like it was made by a 5 year old. The worst were the pancakes, strawberry cheesecake pancakes were not at all as advertised. They are supposed to have cheesecake bites in the pancakes but all we got was plain pancakes with a few strawberries and cream on top. (See the picture of advertisement and the real thing in photo
