The Bad Apple is one of those neighborhood spots that’s… fine. The vibe is relaxed, the staff is friendly enough, and the menu has a few things worth trying, especially if you’re already in the area. The burgers are solid, not mind‑blowing, but they get the job done, and the sides are pretty dependable. Nothing really stood out as amazing, but nothing was bad either — it’s the kind of place you go to when you want something familiar without overthinking it. the burgers here are absolutely phenomenal definitely my new fave! they had a great selection of unique burgers that were both filling and delicious! the southern dandy was absolutely delicious the sauce on it just had a hint of spice. the fries come with the burger! they were nice and crispy and the ketchup that comes on the side tasted like it was a homemade ketchup! the all that jazz cocktail was great too! definitely recommend if you’re looking for a delicious burger

Was hoping this would be another contender for best Chicago burger, but it’s just not in the same league as Little Bad Wolf, Au Cheval, Mordecai, or The Stop Along. My burger was cooked well, but flavor wise was one-note. That note being fig. My wife’s was a burger with peppers which I thought was pretty tasty, but the bun was soggy. My regular fries were a little bland but the sweet potato fries were yummy.

Was planning to go to the Lincoln Park location, which we’ve been too many times and enjoyed our experience. This location however was quite the different experience. The onion rings were soggy, the burger was undercooked, and we waited for what felt like an eternity for our check. I had high hopes since this was the original location, but it felt like this experience was not handled with care. The wings were delicious though.
