Love the atmosphere and the vibe is incredible. I thought the food was good but not great. I got the chicken BBQ sandwhich, first off massive portion which is awesome! Also it comes on a super fresh hoggie roll. The chicken itself I thought was a little dry, but I loved how it came in big chopped pieces as opposed to a shredded option like you usually get at most BBQ places. I also love that they added very little sauce in the sandwich and you could just add your own. It was a meat forward sandwich which I love. I never get the days off to come here but today I finally was able too. It was not worth the wait. Pulled pork was ok but what was really disappointing was the brisket. I got the mixed, lean and fatty, but was surprised at how chewy the meat was. Hardly any bark, either. Generous portions though, there's that. Sorry to say it but 2 bites in and it ended up in the trash.

Not what i expected, AT ALL! . Both the brisket and ribs were dry, dry, dry! The food was at least two days old and reheated. At almost $70 for a half order of each plus an order of bland coleslaw it just wasn't worth it. It was almost comparable to beef jerky. Sadly, will not be coming back. I wouldn't have minded the price if the food was worth it. Done with Gorilla.

A good place to stop after a day in the beach close to Rockaway Beach and Pacifica State beach. They close early though (not a dinner spot). It is not an eat-in restaurant. No seats inside and be prepared for long lines. Most people eat in their cars. I think you can skip their brisket and corn bread but their ribs are great😋
