I’ve lived in Palatine for almost 10 years and usually go to a chain restaurant for breakfast like First Watch or Brunch Cafe. Today I decided that I wanted to try a local spot that I’ve never been to before and I definitely understand why I stick to the chain restaurants. I ordered the pancake and egg breakfast for my kids to share and it came with a piece of bacon that was completely burnt and almost inedible. The service was quick and fast, the place was clean and people friendly. They were happy to substitute and let us do customization, which was great The food was okay, nothing great, especially for the price. But we got one sausage link, which was not done right. It tasted as if made in a rancid oil that really put us off. Otherwise, the food was not bad but not great as well.

Surprisingly this was not our first choice for breakfast, but should have been. Nice cozy diner with great breakfast. Everything was well seasoned and had great flavors, we devoured everything! Will definitely be on our list! Had lots of specials that sounded delicious, I only wish I could have eaten more.
