I’ve been wanting to check out Captains BBQ for a while now. Any BBQ spot that serves St Louis style ribs is always a move, but I read amazing reviews of their Cuban sandwich. The perfect ratio pulled pork, ham and cheese was elite. This sandwich was perfection. Screw going to Tampa or Miami. This one is LEGIT. Their spicy collard greens had great flavor as well. I enjoyed their spicy hot bbq sauce and their ribs had the perfect bite and texture. This place is seriously a vibe. You can dine inside at one of six tables or outside on their massive patio with views of the Matanzas River. 10/10. G

Don't go if you have big expectations for great BBQ. The service was great and the food came up fast. The atmosphere was also good. We even saw dolphins after dinner near the docks. However, we came for the bbq. The flavor and smoke of quality bbq, just wasn't there.The pulled pork taste like it was boiled. The brisket must have been prepared in the oven because it lacked smoke profile. The ribs were the best thing on the plate. I've so much better bbq in New York. I wanted this place to be good but the pit master must have been on vacation.

Amazing fast casual BBQ! Everything was cooked perfectly and mouth watering delicious. The views are incredible. The prices are reasonable. If you like BBQ you will love this place and must try it! Food was hot and fresh and was ready fast! Great for groups, solo and the perfect spot for a date night with the spectacular river views. In door and out door seating options. You can even opt for a to go container and sit right by the river in the park.

I must say Captain D's checks all the boxes! I sneak away by boat to complete a perfect day here! If you love smoked meat to perfection & scrumptious side dishes in a beautiful location directly on the Inter Coastal Waterway, this is bar-none the Best! My go-to sunset dinner: Rib & Brisket Combo w/ Collard Greens & Dill Potato Salad! Paired perfectly w/ a Texas brewed Shiner Bock, dark lager! Let me not forget to shout
