Wise County Biscuits & Cafe in Pittsburgh absolutely lived up to the hype. This spot has a cool backstory-it started as a farmers market pop-up before growing into a full café, and you can tell they’ve really honed in on what they do best: biscuits. Everything on the menu revolves around them, and it shows in the quality. Walking in, it was honestly tough to choose because all the biscuit sandwiches sounded amazing. We love coming to Wise County, great service and amazing food. The way they handle their line is very smart, you basically wait in line and once you order most of the time a table is freed up and they just rinse and repeat for each customer. First time I came I got the Johnny cakes which are 3 cornmeal pancakes with blueberry compote. Now I pretty regularly do the your way sandwich and get a side of potatoes which are crisp and perfectly seasoned. Most recently I stopped by for lunch and decided on the grilled cheese. If I could give this place a 10 out of 5 I would. This was the breakfast I’ve have ever had. I got the two eggs with breakfast sausage and potato’s and a biscuit, and it tasted just like my grandmothers house. The restaurant was very clean and all the workers were very outgoing and awesome!

We went about 945 on a Sunday morning. There was a line but if was very efficient. Menus were available at the door and while we were standing in line, someone came to take our take out order. Our food was ready in about 12 minutes. Everything was delicious. We ordered the Biscuits and Gravy with over easy egg, the Country Ham plate with a side of greens and a Chicken Biscuit. I wish the greens had some pot liquor in the container. That the only reason I gave 4 stars for food.
