We have long been waiting to come to Emerald Line as we live in the area and finally made it in for a nice dinner. The inside is quaint and comfortable with some almost antique charm and nice seating. Felt overall cozy although I will say it was odd to not have a hostess stand as you sort of just walk directly into the space without knowing where to go. Service was solid and the staff was very nice. Everything was timely and people felt relaxed. Great place for an intimate dinner for two, four, or more. I had a mule and substituted in some local gin for the vodka… wow! This one was so good! I must confess to having a second. I asked for extra marinara sauce on the lasagna and they did not disappoint! This was exactly what I was looking for. We had dinner with friends and had no trouble hearing each other. Everyone enjoyed their drinks, appetizers, and entrees.

A friend has relatives that used to live in this neighborhood. Though the relatives have moved, and my friend lives outside the city, he still visits Emerald Line regularly. I'm thrilled that he invited me along for a recent visit. The brick walls, big windows, attentive service, and comfort food experience all combine to make Emerald Line the kind of place every neighborhood should be lucky enough to have.
