Grew up going to this bakery since the Italians from NY owned it and it was down the block from where it is now. Time changes things and sometimes that’s unfortunate- this is one of those times. Back when this was a legit bakery the glass cases were filled with delicious options. You could smell the goodness from blocks away. The lines were out the door and around the corner but you were in and out because it was fully staffed and fully stocked. You could never leave there with one item. Edit: One year later and I still think this place is a blessing to my sangre boricua. Original review: If i could give this place 10 stars, I would. I was greeted in Spanish immediately.. my heart warmed up as soon as the server told me they sold pan sobao and pan de agua. The cubano sandwich was made to perfection, la palmerita (pastry) was fresh, the coffee was tasty... this will be my go to every Saturday morning from now on. So glad this place exists. Asked for a meat lovers omelet, sign says $5.50, lady starts adding to the omelet the meats separate, winded up paying $9 with some change, and she had a attitude because I asked about the difference in price and her answer was " price changed" but not on the sign as I seen. And rather than an omelet, I get the meat wrapped up in a tortilla. Learn lesson.
