I had a very disappointing experience at Ono Hawaiian. I ordered from Brandon, and during our visit my 3-year-old son urgently needed to use the restroom. I personally watched someone return the restroom key, but when I asked if my son could use the bathroom, Brandon refused and claimed the restrooms were occupied. My son was on the verge of wetting himself. To make sure there wasn't a misunderstanding, I knocked on the restroom door several times and received no response. The restroom appeared to be empty. This is our 1st negative experience with ONO Hawaiian. We are loyal customers, often eating ONO 3times a month. We went for our usual order, 1 chicken plate, 1 beef plate and 1 side of island fire. The full plates were delicious, down very welll. The Island fire on the other hand was nasty and it came empty, with no veggies on the bottom except 1 broccoli. It had a very old, left over taste. The oil taste was very prominent and nasty, like it was a few days old. Sadly had to to throw it out.

I'm bummed about my last visit. Not because of the service but the food. I used to come a lot last summer and the service sucked but the food was good enough to ignore it. The potential to be great is the reason for two stars instead of one. Today, the chicken katsu I got was really dry. Almost as much crunchy breading as chicken. Not the best but okay with sauce. Until I got a really hard part and had to spit it out...it was bone surrounded by gristle. 😩 If I wasn't on lunch break I would've taken it back but I'm just gonna toss it. Couldn't even finish the meal.

I apologize in advance for my "Karen" review. It's 3:30pm and there are no customers in the store besides me. Eric is sitting behind the counter while the cook is working on my order. There is trash littering the floor and tables that need wiping down. Who is suppose to clean the store and when?
