This place has been here a long time, More times than not, the chicken is fresh like any other fried chicken place, sometimes just sitting on the lamp too long during the slow times I like the fact that this place has chicken livers and gizzards But why chicken express allows them to cook kids and livers ahead of time and have them in a pan under the heat lamp. I have no idea all that does is make them turn into rubber nasty but they should be fresh and delicious. Quit abusing the gizzards and livers

Decided on chicken tonight. Reason for 5 stars at the time of placing my order the young lady informed me it would be 8-10 minutes on legs. Perfect hot fresh chicken and l was told in advance, instead of getting to the window and waiting forever. The Chicken smelled delicious and very hot and tasty Very good job Chicken Express.

Gave this place a shot earlier in the week and was not happy with the atmosphere. I walked in and greeted the cook, who was in the back, with a warm “Hello” and he gave me a look and proceeded to go about his day without acknowledging me. I then chose to eat else where simply because i didn’t feel welcomed. I had decided today, 01/3/2026, to give it another try and the staff here has certainly redeemed themselves. Waited for nearly 20 minutes for my order because they didn't communicate that they needed some time to make the chicken legs of my meal. Then didn't include my sides when I finally received my order. Do better.
