We ventured to this quaint establishment for brunch on a trip back from Northern California and were delighted that we did. Chick'n & Waffles was my personal favorite, served with syrup to accompany the tasty golden waffle and crispy fried oyster mushrooms. The Veg Griddle was an Impossible Sausage Sandwich with Just' Egg and smoked 'gouda' sandwiched between a waffle. The Biscuits & Gravy was especially flavorful and filling. I'd like to come back and sample more of the menu whenever possible.

I chose Veg Cafe for my birthday brunch, and honestly, it couldn't have been a more perfect way to celebrate. From the moment I walked in, the space just felt so warm and inviting — I got a little table by the window, which made the whole experience feel extra special. I ordered the veg griddle with a side of potato hash, and both were absolutely delicious — the kind of food that makes you slow down and actually savor every bite. Quality vegan cuisine. Steps to the 2nd level. Can be a little confusing as another cafe is adjacent in same building or appears to be. Parking can be tight during the busy times. Welcoming staff and workabees. Ambience berry comfortable and varying staging.

I’ve been going here for 7+ years, and there’s anything you need to know :) -great food, not so great service. The head chef obviously puts effort into the presentation and the menu works, everything makes sense and there is soul in the food: 10/10 for food - Service does not equate to the amount you tip, I’ve not had a pleasant experience with the waitress Eryka… but I have noticed she does treat others nicely so maybe it depends on the person… either way, better service at Lemongrass or other restaurants with same price range, where they make you feel you matter.
