I've always wanted to try this iconic place. It was very busy. The locals had to help me with the ordering kiosk. I thought oh my it's going to be awhile after I placed my order but the staff was fast and efficient. My triple cheese with the works hit the spot, fries were hot, crispy and salted well. Had to end my order with a strawberry shake that was thick and cold .

The place was packed! Easy menu options, ordering and pickup easy too. I ordered a single patty hamburger, small fries, small chocolate shake. Everything tasted great. Ordered on the kiosk there and selected an option for extra salt for my fries. They salted heavier than normal , when I thought I’d get a packet for extra salt, if needed. 😋 The prices were so inexpensive I felt like I went back in time 20 years. Portions were generous. Takeout only. Your pickup # is the last 4 of your phone number, btw.

This is a quaint shop near downtown St. Cloud. Talk about a bargain! Burgers, fries, shakes none of which cost more then $4! The did was delicious. The fries were perfectly salted and the strawberry shake is perfect for a hot day. We were in town getting tattoos and our tattoo artist heard us placing our order online and highly recommended Vals to us.

Val's has a lot of local hype, but I didn't think it lived up to it. The burgers are decent, but nothing special for the price. Portions and value could be better compared to what you're actually getting. The biggest downside is the parking and lack of places to wait. It's often packed, which leads to long waits and a crowded experience. While some people may love it for the nostalgia, I found it to be a bit overhyped overall. I'd eat there again if I was nearby, but I wouldn't go out of my way for it. 🍔💸🚗
