Perfect setting and atmosphere! The food and pastries were delicious. I ordered the Chicken Pesto Sandwich, and it was absolutely yummy! The cappuccino was also perfectly made. At a time when inflation has driven even lame chain fast-food to premium prices, I find myself loving Chaupain bakery more and more. I truly feel like every dollar is well-spent here. Their pastries? Phenomenal, well-made and beautiful, with some of the smoothest pastry cream I've encountered. Their breakfasts? SO delicious, with great portion size. Highly recommend their bacon mushroom and leek quiche! Every time I've been here, staff have been quick and helpful. The only tricky part is finding a table haha, there's a reason this place is so popular!

Dare I say I actually felt like I was in Europe with how divine these croissants are!? The pistachio croissant is not too sweet, and has genuine pistachio filling. The almond croissant was a sweet treat. I also bought a few butter croissants to-go to enjoy with my eggs at home in the mornings. The butter is a classic and definitely my favorite! Definitely going to be back for more. The worker was so kind in answering my questions and I enjoyed the environment.

This is what we got from Chaupin Bakery, located on Del Mar Road. Restaurants in Del Mar are usually pretty pricey since it’s a tourist spot, but this was under $8—and SO good!! Loved it. Already thinking about visiting again… if I can find a parking spot 😄
