We were in Japan Town one late afternoon and was having boba sundae when I suddenly realized that Jina Bakes was just across the store we were. Items were 50% already since it’s almost closing time. We got the Injeolmi Croissant, Kalbijjim Croissant and Hotteok Kouign-amann. The Injeolmi Croissant was my favorite! It was a great balance of the soft, chewy mochi and the crispy, flaky croissant. The Hotteok Kouign-amann was sensational! The sweet gooey filling was balanced by the nuts and croissant itself. The Kalbijjim Croissant was ok but not worth the original price of $8.50 (since I got thi

Injeolmi croissant: flaky, crispy, buttery pastry with a soft and chewy mochi, and a light sprinkle of injeolmi on top. 10/10 Salt bread: crispy bottom, soft and fluffy inside, perfect amount of salt. Also 10/10 Einspanner: cream top was delicious, can't say anything bad about einspanners tbh They only let in parties of 3 at a time but the wait wasn't too bad at all!

First time at a super busy spot. Casual spot with no dining options. Nice variety of baked goods and drinks such as the honeycomb toffee latte. We picked up the kouign amann and the match cream puff. Both items are sweet, larger than expected, and a definite must share. Once your order is placed, your pastries are handed to you while you wait for the drinks to be made.Overall, another good bakery option in SF

The prices here really make it hard to frequent but my friends and I really enjoyed trying Jina bakes! I got the injeolmi croissant and it was so worth it. I’ve never come across anything like it before and I really adored it. I loved eating the tapioca / mochi texture in the croissant. My friend also got the strawberry matcha cookie and said it’s one of the best cookies he’s ever had. This place is definitely worth the try. — And for those that don’t know, the store is very small so there’s no seating in it. Thankfully it’s in the japan town mall, so there’s some seating right outside of it!
