Had an awesome dinner at the Outback in San Marcos. I ordered the Bloomin’ Chicken Sammie with a side salad, and it was seriously good — perfectly seasoned and cooked just right. What really made the visit memorable was our server, Ritchie. He was friendly, attentive, and genuinely seemed to care about every table he was serving. It’s rare to see someone put that much heart into their work, and it made the whole experience feel welcoming. I’ll definitely be back.

My ribeye was spot on. The file mignon my mother ordered medium well was flattened, and looked like a shoe sole. It was brought to their attention, and they made it right..Just took longer to have dinner than original anticipated. Other than that, drinks were served almost immediately, which was impressive, and the staff was very courteous and helpful.

I actually had only been here once before when I was a teenager. I split a blooming onion with my high school friends. Fast forward about 30 years and I got a gift card for Christmas for Outback. Wife and I gave it a try. I was pleasantly surprised. The food was better than I expected it to be. Not bad for a chain restaurant. I got the Delmonico rib eye with garlic butter, grilled shrimp, loaded baked potato, and steamed broccoli. It tasted really good, and I took home half for later due to the portion size. I think I will be back a lot sooner than 30 years this time!
