Julz★★★★★Indian- Italian fusion that’s just a flavor bomb I didn’t know I needed to try.This place is a bit unassuming as it’s a restaurant connected to a Comfort Inn with a crappy parking lot. But the interior was very clean and well decorated. They had a full bar, big screen tvs all round, a very fun and hip ambiance the moment you step inside. (Something I love about dining out is the magic in the food service industry and that magic is definitely here.) We got the Malai Rigatoni and the Green Tikka Masala Pijja. A★★★★The malai rigatoni tastes like vodka pasta with a little spice, kinda not seeing the indian flavor. But it was great. Getting a little of indian kashmiri pepper or a cayenne spice. Well cooked though! The pizza was a pretty basic thin-crust pizza. It tasted like they had just added some green chutney on top, which was fine, but I didn’t really understand the hype. Overall though, the food was good and very filling. The rigatoni, however, was great and definitely the highlight.
Green Sea Shells★★★★This was my second visit to Pijja Palace. It’s on Sunset Blvd, and coming from the South Bay it took about 40 minutes, so it’s a place I plan ahead for. The menu is Indian-influenced comfort food—pizza, burgers, bar-style dishes—meant to be shared. We ordered a few items and the onion rings were especially good. The Indian-inspired pizzas were flavorful and filling, with sauces you can add depending on spice level. The place itself is cute, modern, and welcoming. There is limited parking available, though, so that's something to keep in mind. The food is essentially bar food with Indian flavors. The menu is small, but easy to navigate. We tried the fries, onion rings, two types of wings, and two types of pizzas.
